How To Fix The "Please Insert Disc" Issue On The RG350 and RG350M
If you're new to emulation, you might come across an issue with PS1 emulators wherein you're asked to insert a disk when you try to play a game.
Emulators require very specific kinds of files to run. What this kind of file is depends on the emulator. It could be a ROM file, an ISO file, a BIN file, or maybe even a CUE file. Whatever the case, if the file does not fall under one of these, it likely will not even be detectable by the emulator.
If the file you're using is of one of the aforementioned formats however, and the PS1 emulator is still asking you to insert a disk. It is almost certain that you are using an invalid file. So while the emulator knows it is the right kind of media, it can't make sense of the contents. It's very easy to change the file type of a windows device.
In other words, it's like inputting a Playstation 2 disk into your Playstation 1. While similar (they're both CD's after all), it just won't work!
We ask you to please review the files you're using with the emulator, as it's likely you may have a corrupt or otherwise invalid file.
