My Pocket Go V2/V2.1 Isn't Powering On!
It happens sometimes unfortunately. You buy a brand new device, wait excitedly for it to arrive, only for it to just... not work, when you open it.
We at DroiX understand this may be frustrating, so we've compiled a few troubleshooting tips/techniques that may help you get the device up and running straight away.
Charge The Device
Due to the packaging sometimes pressing against the power button of the Pocket Go models, in rare occasions the device may be powered on.
This could happen as early as the day device leaves the factory, or as late as the day before its delivered to you. In any case, this will likely result in the device being discharged before you even get it.
The solution? Leave it to charge for a while!
(There's a reason its recommended to charge most electronics before their first use!)
Insert and Reinsert the Internal SD Card
There's a possibility that the SD card may not be properly seated (meaning, while it might be "in" the device, the microSD contacts may not be making... well, contact with the contacts in the port). In this scenario, we suggest taking out the SD card, pressing the reset button (located on the bottom right of the device), then putting it back in.
(You can also perform this with the battery - as it can easily be removed/reinserted without the need to loosen any screws)
Reflash The Firmware
Via any combination of the before issues (power, loose contacts, etc.), the unfortunate reality of things is that sometimes data can become corrupt for no good reason.
If no other troubleshooting steps work, we suggest you try this. All you'll need is a microSD card reader, and software (of your choice) that can format an SD card, and write an image for it (for example, MiniTool Partition Wizard, and Win32DiskImager).
You'll also need firmware. Either custom firmware, or stock firmware. We're in the process of writing a guide for this (that will include a link to the stock firmware), and it'll be linked here when done, so watch this space!
If none of these steps work, you may wish to contact the one who sold you the device (if it was us - please email us with your order number, and we can provide further assistance!).
